急須
急須（きゅうす、英語 Teapot）は、茶を注ぐ際に使用される道具。乾燥させた茶葉を急須に入れ、湯を注いで茶葉が開くのを待ち、傾けると茶水が出てくるという器具である。急須は中国で発明され、茶を飲む習慣がある文化圏、とりわけアジアでは古くから使用されている。また紅茶を飲む西ヨーロッパ|西欧、ことにイギリスでも17世紀頃から使われた。各喫茶文化圏で独自の発達も見られ、それぞれ補助的な道具が付随することもある。たとえば日本では玉露などの発達により「湯冷まし」を併用することも多い。また紅茶ではミルクと砂糖を加える関係から、クリーマー、シュガーボウル（蓋がある場合はシュガーボックス）が備えられ、ティーポットと合わせ、これら3点セットを「ティーサーヴィス」と呼ぶ。ただし、中国や日本でも古くは鍋で直接茶葉を煮出していた。このほか茶碗で立てる抹茶や、茶碗に直接茶葉を入れたり、またサモワールで茶を沸かすなど、急須を用いない喫茶法も多い。
